Best Dressed Kids
Best Dressed Kids assists young people in the Fresno County foster care system to obtain the necessary clothing to allow them to continue in their education and maintain positive self image. Focus Forward promotes this Fresno County service. Young people can visit the store and "shop" for clothing. Focus Forward provides scholarships to young people who are in the foster care and or juvenile justice systems. These scholarships are awarded annually. Access to Higher Education Each year, Focus Forward collaborates with the Fresno County Juvenile Court and Probation Department to raise money for the Access to Higher Education Day for foster youth at California State University, Fresno. At this event the youth learn about opportunities that are available to them in higher education and can win prizes such as laptops. |
